New to Calvary Worship Centre (CWC)?
Welcome! Whether you are new to Calvary or have been here a while, we want everyone’s experience to be enjoyable. We would like to take the opportunity to let you know what to expect here and answer some frequently asked questions. What Should I expect on a Sunday?
 Our main services begin with VIRTUALLY with worship at 9:30 am and 11:30 am. As you enter the CWC parking lot you will find many stalls to choose from. As you enter the church you will be greeted by a Calvary member, and as you make your way to the sanctuary you will see a Welcome Desk which we encourage you to visit should you have any questions or need assistance. Upon entering the sanctuary you will receive a bulletin which will include a Sermon Notes insert for personal note taking, as well as other information about upcoming events. There are many seats to choose from, and we have Ushers to lead you to an available seat if you aren’t sure where to sit.

Our praise and worship is Holy Spirit led and multicultural, so you may hear songs with parts sung in different languages!! If you want to worship with your own flag or want some extra room to dance, you are welcome to use the open space in front of the stage and worship freely there. We also have flags available for use at the left hand side by the front of the sanctuary. The Holy Spirit moves here, and you are encouraged to worship freely. Pastor Sam, our Senior Pastor, or one of the other pastors will share a message supported by Biblical scriptures that will have you laughing, shouting “Amen!”, and feeling inspired to grow deeper in the Word of God and in relationship with God. Our services typically run for 75 minutes with an opportunity for you to give an offering financially or through your worship.

All first time visitors are encouraged to go to the Visitor’s Centre on your way out of the sanctuary to receive a special gift. We also have a Bookstore and G.R.O.W. Group table at the back of the sanctuary that we encourage everyone to visit. G.R.O.W. Groups are a wonderful way to meet new people and grow together in a smaller group setting. We invite you to enjoy complimentary tea and coffee after the service in the foyer, and if you have any questions feel free to ask a member at the Welcome Desk who will be happy to assist you.

If you are wondering what to wear when coming to church on a Sunday, we encourage you to dress comfortably and modestly. As a church filled with people of different nations, you will see a variety of styles, but most people dress casually.

What about my kids?
SUNDAYS:
Babies & Toddlers: Parents are welcome to sit in the Parent & Tots room anytime during the service. The room is located at the back of the sanctuary and there are speakers in there so you can engage in the service.

Ages 3-12: Children’s Church is held upstairs in the KidsZone at 10:00am & 12:00pm. 

Ages 13-18: GRC 180 Youth Service takes place in the Multi Purpose room (in the foyer, opposite the Welcome Desk) on Friday’s at 7:30pm. Contact calvaryyouth@calvaryonline.ca if you have any questions about the Youth Service.

I’d like someone to pray for me.
We would love to pray with you and for you! You are welcome to ask for Prayer at any of the above prayer groups. We also have a ministry team available for individual prayer at the end of both Sunday services in the Ministry Room (right of the platform in the sanctuary). Should you require further prayer or seek deliverance, you can fill out a Connections Card and put it in the offering basket on Sunday, or call the church office to make an appointment with one of our Pastors.

I’m not sure I’m ready for church yet.
We understand that for some, church can cause a certain measure of apprehension or even fear. Jesus lived the most amazing life and His message is powerful, practical, and revelationary, but this image is not always well portrayed in the media today. Calvary Worship Centre exists to communicate Christ to all nations in our immediate neighbourhood and beyond, equipping individuals for ministry in the church and the world. We are far from perfect, but we are committed to prayer, genuine fellowship, and committed in service to all ages from all walks of life. Sometimes life is difficult, even chaotic, but at Calvary we journey together as a community, as family, and we find encouragement, hope, strength, and life. If you are on a journey towards faith, whatever stage you are at, we invite you to join us to journey at your own pace.
